Be DJs, we have the opportunity to assess the reception facilities while having lots of little or no bias to "sell" one location over another. Most brides and grooms know where they hold the ceremony before they decide where the reception is that we have compiled five observations that can help you when you choose your site.
Distance - If people have to travel a long way to go from the welcoming ceremony, some will be distracted or decide to do something else. Try to hold the reception in a drive 15 to 30 minutes of your ceremony. If you can not get a reception hall close to your ceremony, make a caravan. Ask the bride and groom lead a parade and people will follow you on your receipt.
Time - time travel is just a question. If the reception is several hours after the accident, people are busy with other things and do not seem to have been received. Try to start getting one or two hours of the ceremony. If you do not want to start a wedding dance four in the afternoon, "Meet and Greet mixer before approval. Serve some punch and get people to socialize. This is one of the few times that both families are together. Encourage the members of the family to share stories of their childhood.
Size - people like their personal space, and probably spent an hour in a packed church during the ceremony. If you stop the spread, which is more fun. Ensure that the reception hall has plenty of room for your guests. The people renting the location might tell you that it can accommodate 200 people, but this does not necessarily mean that it can accommodate 200 people comfortably! Remember to visit before booking.
Temperature Control - Having a summer wedding? Your air conditioning, reception hall? If people sat sweat does not go to the dance. On the other hand, if they are cold, you will not dance either (who wants to dance in a parka?). Also make sure you know who controls the thermostat can be adjusted if necessary. Chances are your reception will be warm and stuffy while all the guests are there, but as a network during the night the room begins to cool.
Smoking - This is a hot button issue, but if the reception is non-smoking, the smoker can not wait to leave the reception for 15-30 minutes every hour. If enough of them leave the reception area, you will find a lot of alien just hanging out in the smoking area. This can be a big problem if you have a lot of smokers in your wedding party. Must not be allowed to smoke, but it's something that you should take into account, especially if someone has health problems such as asthma or allergies, which can be triggered by smoke. If you do not want to allow smoking in the reception, how close is the nearest place for a smoker to go? It 's so close that you may need a wedding party members during events like the launch of a bouquet or garter auction?
Facility coordinators no doubt raise a number of other factors to consider when booking a meeting, but often lack the text, especially if they do not contribute in any position. If the overall picture in mind and work of a wedding planner or event coordinator, decorating ideas, is certainly a pleasant and memorable wedding reception.
